Preparation is Key to Success
At Glass Tech, we handle all the professional surface preparation—including scraping, sanding, washing, and priming. However, there are a few simple steps you as a homeowner can take before our team arrives to ensure the project runs smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
Clear the Perimeter
Our painters will need full access to your exterior walls. Please move any outdoor furniture, potted plants, garden hoses, and children's toys away from the house. A clear 1.5-meter perimeter around your walls allows our team to set up ladders and scaffolding safely and efficiently.
Protect Your Plants
While we use protective drop-cloths and plastic sheeting to cover flowerbeds and shrubs, it is highly helpful to prune back any delicate branches or climbing plants that are touching or very close to the walls. If you have valuable or fragile plants, let our team know so we can take extra precautions.
Keep Windows and Doors Closed
During the preparation phase, we may need to sand or pressure wash your exterior walls. To prevent dust, water, and paint fumes from entering your home, please keep all windows and doors firmly closed while our team is working. We will coordinate with you when we need to open windows to paint the frames.
